Biomass pellet plants

Biomass pellet plants

Round bale in. Hard fuel pellets out.

Paddy straw arrives as compressed round bales. The plant shreds the bale, grinds the straw to powder, holds it in a buffer, and presses it through three ring-die mills. Natural lignin in the straw melts at about 80–95 °C under heat and pressure and binds the powder into hard fuel pellets, 6–12 mm.

Recommended shredder is 110 kW + 110 kW twin-shaft — it takes the whole round bale. A 90+90 kW shredder needs a D-BAILER first; the bale is too tight for that motor size. The working line is 6 tonnes per hour: each SSUN 160 mill does 2 TPH.

The working product is agro-based, non-torrefied biomass pellets — 3400 GCV class — packed for boilers and offtake. In the 2026 season the desk moved 3,819 MT of this fuel between February and August. Actual output follows straw moisture, density and handling. Dryer and cooler are added when the straw is wet or finished bags are required.

Simple working

Simple working.

110+110 shredder eats the round bale → hammer mill makes powder → 3 × SSUN 160 mills make 2 tonnes each → 6 tonnes per hour.

  1. 01

    Round bales in

Whole paddy-straw round bales load to the 110+110 kW twin-shaft shredder. The shafts tear the bale into short pieces. No D-BAILER on this option.

  2. 02

    Fine grinding — SSUN 240

Cut straw goes to the 240 kW hammer mill. Hammers beat it through a sieve to 3–6 mm powder. Dust to cyclone and bags. About 6–7 TPH.

  3. 03

    Buffer — hydraulic bin

Powder is light and fluffy. The bin and feeders send a steady flow to the three mills so they do not choke or run empty.

  4. 04

    Pelletising — 3 × SSUN 160

Rollers press powder against a rotating ring die. Heat and pressure (about 80–95 °C) soften lignin. Pellets leave 6–12 mm holes. Each mill 2 TPH. Three mills 6 TPH.

  5. 05

    Pellets out

Hot pellets leave on the discharge conveyor. Cooler and packer are added if the customer wants finished, cooled, bagged fuel.
